Domaine Girard-Malpères

Since the installation of the great-grandfather, Jean Girard in 1928 in his native village of Alaigne, the operation has continued to evolve, each generation having made its contribution to the building. From the construction of the cellar and the first plantations in 1928, to the takeover of the property by his son Eugène Girard in the 1940s, the activity was mainly concentrated around the 7 hectares of ancient grape varieties then cultivated on the terroir of the Malepère (Carignan, Aramon, Jurançon, Cinsault) The old grape varieties are giving way to more modern grape varieties that are more conducive to the development that the combination of climate and clay soils of the region has to offer (Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Malbec) In 2000 Philippe gave birth to the very first vintages of “Domaine Girard”. He does not hide the fact that he fell into a passion for vines from a very young age while following his father into the vineyards of Alaigne. In order to optimally work the thirty hectares that he cultivates today, theconstruction of a new winery saw the light of day in 2017 on the heights of the village. The profession of artisan winemaker is passed down from father to son among the Girards, always with cohesion between old and new generations.

Domaine Vordy- Minervois

In Minerve, located between limestone plateaus and garrigue, where the earth hides under the stones, the Vordy family cultivates 34 hectares of vineyards, all destined for the production of AOC Wines. Thibaut, full of enthusiasm for the family winery since he was a young boy, is taking over from his father, driven by the same passion to express the beauty of its terroir through warm wines full of character, fruit, spices… Today, they cultivate Carignan wines of more than 100 years and Grenache wines with roots reaching deep into mineral soil. Their vineyards consist of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache blanc, Roussanne et Cinsault. All these Languedoc grape varieties can be found in their different blends, each with a different personality, complexity, and beautiful structure.
