 Our Wines - On Sale
On Sale Baur d'Alsace Gewurztraminer Grand Cru 'Pfersigberg' 2009 (#34-5) $28.00 $25.00

A generous wine with spicy hints and an aroma of wilted rose petals evolving with time into grilled almonds and candied apricots. The wine has elegance, finesse and freshness.

Grapes:  Gewurztraminer

Pairings:  Apéritif, foie gras, cheeses, exotic cuisine.

Region: Alsace Vineyard:  Domaine Charles Baur
On Sale Font-Sane Gigondas Terrasses des Dentelles Rouge 2009 (#10-22) $36.00 $32.00

The Terrasses ‘09 has an earthy nose full of dark berries and plums but needs decanting to open fully. A very complex wine with tannins and acidity in ample measure and well-balanced. A wine for right now or for 10 years from now.

Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre

Pairings: Filet, ribeye or sirloin strip

Region: Rhone Valley Vineyard:  Domaine de Font Sane
On Sale Roche Buissiere "Le Claux" Rouge 2008 (#25-3) $15.00 $10.50

The ‘Le Claux’ is a medium-bodied wine with a nose of cranberries, rose petal and vanilla.  Flavors of black pepper and blackcurrant lead to a long cranberry and tobacco finish. This wine should be opened 30 minutes prior to serving.

Grapes: 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah

Pairings: Pastas, duck with a cherry sauce, roast, stew

Region: Rhone Valley Vineyard:  Domaine La Roche Buissière
On Sale Roche Buissiere 'Premices' Rouge 2008 (#25-4) $15.00 $10.00

An exceptional nose -- earthy, spicy with a touch of musk. Red fruits dominate the mouth with a moderate to long finish of black pepper and musk.

Grapes:  100% Grenache

Region: Rhone Valley Vineyard:  Domaine La Roche Buissière
On Order On Sale Maubernard Rosé 2012 (#26-8) - Due in July $0.00 $0.00

A blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache & Cinsault . . . and typical of rosés from this region.  Once in the glass the aromas begin to develop into red fruits with a hint of citrus.  Nicely balanced with good acidity, it will go especially well with seafood but also with many other foods or as an aperitif on its own.

Grapes:  Mourvèdre, Grenache & Cinsault

Pairings:  any seafood dish but especially as a pre-dinner aperitif

Region: Provence Vineyard:  Domaine Maubernard
